Enfranchisement heading

Subject to meeting certain qualifying criteria, leaseholders have the right to extend their lease or buy their landlord’s interest outright.

This applies to both leasehold houses and leasehold flats.

This is a very technical area of law, and the unwary or ill-advised may face some very real difficulties in the process. It’s all too easy to get the process wrong, or miss one of the timescales set down by the legislation, and the consequences can be both fatal and costly.

As a client of PM Legal, you’ll get the expert advice and support you need to guide you through the process successfully. Members of our team (link to CDZ and EAR) have presented courses for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors on navigating the complexities of leasehold enfranchisement.
