Notices and process (extension)

An individual leaseholder has a statutory right to acquire a new extended lease in substitution for their existing lease.

There are qualifying criteria to be met, and processes to be followed. Failing to meet that criteria or failing to adhere to the processes (or timescales) are likely to be fatal to any claim. And this can be costly. And disappointing.

Because of this, it’s important to get the right advice at the right time. And that’s where PM Legal can help. We have the expertise our clients want, and the ability to deliver the solutions they need.

It’s not uncommon for a landlord and leaseholder to agree to an extended lease by private treaty. At PM Legal, we can assist in the negotiating process, and put into effect the agreement reached between the parties.
